DISCLAIMER: So, ever heard the phrase "two Jews, three opinions?" Jews don't just say that to be funny: the Talmud, an important part of Rabbinical Judaism's religious canon, is a collection of arguments by various Jewish scholars of antiquity. That's not even getting into Karaite Judaism, which traditionally rejects the idea of supreme authority of the Talmud, and often emphasizes the responsibility of the individual to read and interpret the Torah.
Point is: there's a fuckton of ways to be Jewish.
